Financial Services: Actuarial

Our Actuarial Services department provides a full range of actuarial, administration and consultancy services involved in the operation of group pension schemes, including final salary schemes, small self-administered schemes and executive pension plans. We also advise individuals on the range of options at retirement.

Our Actuarial and Consultancy services* include:

  • Actuarial valuations and funding advice
  • Accounting for pension costs - UK, US and international accounting standards
  • Advice on Pension aspects of mergers and acquisitions
  • Benefit design - including replacing final salary schemes with money purchase (defined contribution) arrangements
  • Investment advice on long term strategic asset allocation and selection of fund managers
  • Member communication, including scheme booklets and announcements and meeting the disclosure requirements
  • Pensioneer Trustee Services in connection with Small Self-administered Pension Schemes
  • Retirement counselling
  • Scheme wind-ups
  • Correspondence with the Inland Revenue in connection with contracting-out and with regard to seeking approval, etc

Full Pension administration service includes:

  • Maintenance of records and provision of data used in actuarial valuations and reviewing insurances
  • Calculation and payment of benefits and correspondence with members
  • Annual benefit statements
  • Preparation of trustees report and accounts for scheme auditor
  • Settlement to Inland Revenue of taxes and to the DSS of State Scheme Premiums
